We Are Hiring!
We are hiring a dental hygienist that can join us to help grow our practice and provide the best treatments for our patients.
For Dental Hygenists:
A Different Approach to Periodontal Therapy
More Than a Cleaning—A Biologic Approach to Oral Health
At Magnolia Family Dental Care, we believe periodontal disease is more than calculus and bleeding gums. It is a complex biofilm infection influenced by the oral microbiome, the immune system, nutrition, inflammation, and each patient’s ability to heal.
Our hygiene program combines modern diagnostics, minimally invasive therapies, and biologic principles to help patients achieve healthier, more stable outcomes.

What Makes Our Hygiene Department Different?

Phase-Contrast Microscopy
Every periodontal patient has a unique microbial profile.
Using the best miscroscopy System, we collect live plaque samples and examine them under a phase-contrast microscope so patients can actually see the microorganisms living beneath their gums.
This allows us to:
Seeing is believing, and patients often become much more engaged in their own care after viewing their oral bacteria.

Salivary DNA Testing
When clinically indicated, we incorporate salivary testing to better understand the patient’s microbial and inflammatory risk profile.
This advanced diagnostic information helps us:
Rather than relying solely on pocket depths, we evaluate the biologic environment contributing to disease.

Ozone Therapy
Ozone has become an important adjunct in our periodontal protocols.
We incorporate ozone throughout treatment to help reduce bacterial load while supporting healthy tissue.
Depending on the patient’s needs, ozone may include:
Ozone is used as an adjunct to—not a replacement for—mechanical debridement and established periodontal therapy.Rather than relying solely on pocket depths, we evaluate the biologic environment contributing to disease.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)
For selected patients, we utilize Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), prepared from the patient’s own blood.
PRF contains concentrated platelets, fibrin, and naturally occurring growth factors that may support healing and tissue regeneration following periodontal and surgical procedures.
Because PRF is entirely autologous, no additives or medications are introduced into the body.

Supporting the Patient's Healing Response
Healthy gums require more than bacterial control.
We evaluate factors that may influence healing, including nutrition, inflammation, and immune regulation.
When appropriate, we discuss supportive therapies such as:
These recommendations are individualized and are not intended to replace medical care or treatment prescribed by the patient’s physician.

Oral-Systemic
Health Matters
Current research continues to demonstrate important associations between periodontal inflammation and systemic health.
Our hygiene team educates patients about these connections, including relationships between periodontal disease and:
Our goal is to help patients understand how improving oral health can contribute to overall wellness.
A Collaborative
Philosophy
Our hygienists work closely with Dr. Paola Rodriguez to create individualized treatment plans that combine evidence-based periodontal care with biologic principles.
Every patient receives a personalized approach based on:
